This past weekend was the annual Midwest Dragfest charity car show in Sedalia Missouri. Every year the show chooses a kid or a charity to raise money for and this year it went to a little deserving boy named Gavin. We wish the best to Gavin and his family and we hope that the amount raised by the show turns out to be very beneficial for his cause. The customization of the vehicles at this show were mind numbing to say the least. The little details in these builds is what them truly unique. There was a old woody wagon which took woody wagon to another level, a blazer that looked like it came straight out of Mad Max, a Tacoma with incredible air brushed skulls on the outside and completely fabricated interior complete with skulls and spinal column chairs.
Kicker also came out with us and brought out their 1950’s Studebaker with a complete Powersports installation. This car is completely redone and the only thing left original on this build is the chassis right below the seats. The paint on this car was mixed as a one of a kind finish. It appears black in everything but direct sunlight, then it shows through to a dark root-beer which is the perfect compliment to the copper trim that is all over the vehicle. This vehicle is a work of art from any angle you look at it.
We got to bring out a few of our own as well with James Taylor’s Volkswagen CC R-Line, Ed Sherrod’s Honda Civic EG Hatchback, and Jordan Jacobi’s Infiniti G35. All three of our employee’s vehicles placed top 50 with James’ CC being the lucky winner of Best Import. Overall this was a great show and a fun environment complete with a beard contest, a pie eating contest, which Ed’s son took first at, and coloring contests for the kids! If you’re in the area next year this is a must see event. Stop by and see us at our tent next year to get some Creative swag as well!
